Murdering, Almost Murdering, and then the Average Bruise

As promised, I'm bringing you some of the research that I do. With my writer's block gone I am back to the researching. Today, I bring you sources that talk about how to almost kill our characters, because as much as some of us writers can be nice, happy people, stories survive on conflict. Sometimes you have to abuse your characters, let them heal and then abuse them again. Not generally my favorite part, but it must be done.
But how we go about making a somewhat realistic portrayal of injuries whether we are murdering our characters, almost murdering them, or whether they just tripped and fell, is the second hardest part of the topic. So, enough with the chatter, these are some links that I found that have a potential to help based on your brand of fiction.
So if you want to know how much it takes to hurt your character, but not kill them- or if you want to kill them- you're in the right place.
See these links for injuries and how to make them realistic.

That should do it. If these don''t work, type in something like "Writing injuries" and you might find something that will help.
Edit: Those are the best I could find. If I find more I will try to update this list.
Good luck with harming your characters realistically. Happy Writing.
